About the WHS Class of '54 and This Web Page:

To the best of my knowledge, our class did not produce a United States President, a Senator, a Cardinal, a Sports Hall of Famer, a Movie Star, a Rock Star, a University President, a Military General, a Pulitzer or Nobel Prize Winner or a Supreme Court Justice.

However, we did graduate a great group of American citizens who went on to become teachers, factory workers, nurses, engineers, artists, professors, lawyers, missionaries, entrepreneurs, farmers, nuns, doctors, military officers, CEOs, public servants, community participants, local politicians, members of clergy, mothers, fathers, grandparents.

As it relates to the class of '54, one of the most formative years of our lives probably began already in the 7th grade at the old Warsaw Junior High School building where the Zimmer Corporate Headquarters now stands. The 7th grade was when we all came together from various elementary schools and were united as a class for the first time.

Compared to the present, the 50s were idyllic, magical years, and our years at WHS were, in many respects, idyllic and magical also. Of course, no two of us will remember the same things about those years and particularly about the individual members and experiences of our class. As time relentlessly marches on, it is inevitable that we forget many of the little things, small events, accomplishments and failures that affected not only us but our families, teachers, and community leaders at one time in our lives. This is one of the main reasons for this web page.

As we approach the 45th anniversary of graduation, this web page will attempt to chronicle some of the historical moments and memories of the Warsaw Class of '54. Hopefully, it will also serve as a means for us to renew old acquaintances and friendships and a way to keep better track of and to communicate with oneanother by e-mail in the coming years. I for one believe we really need to do this, because no matter how different, busy, and involved with our private lives we all may be, there are a couple of things we still have in common and which will always make us a part of oneanother . . . we were classmates at Warsaw High and this is our web page. . . .

Even though we still have our Tiger Year Books and our personal memories to remind us of the years we spent together, hopefully this web page will enhance those memories and, with the experiences, stories, etc. that many of us might want to share by means of this web page, even document events and feelings that have never been recorded before.
